So today was supposed to be my last day at the PUCP, but when a 5 Minute walk to the post office had me soaked and wheezing it was clear I needed another day in bed. That‘s what I did then, slept and sweated and awoke much better, throatache gone, nose only a little congested, and the cough had become fluid. I felt good enough to be sick of my hotel room, but what do you do when your knees are wobbly but the TV program is horrible? Right. Cinema. So I saw „Rio“, a really nice movie with very good music (Sergio Mendez helped with the soundtrack!!!) and feel much better now. All confident to be able to enjoy my beach vacation. Plane goes at noon tomorrow. I am sorry that I did not get to say goodbye properly to Prof. Perez, though.
And I did not have to change my room after all for one night because of a cancellation. So I have packed what can be packed now, did the web check-in and printed the boardingpass, and the taxi knows to pick me up tomorrow, all set!
Anyway, I saw the movie in Castellano. The woman at the counter was clearly reluctant to sell me the ticket and wanted to book me for another time (English then), but when I said no she said incredibly „But it‘s in Spanish!“ She could not believe that I would want to see/hear that. Apparently that is true for many people because there was only me and two couples watching. I always hate it when people are coughing during a movie, so I was relieved that it was only 4 people whose movie I ruined. And I tried to cough only when the music was especially loud.
